This table will help you drill. O inches represents one end of the pipe that will become the top of the tree. Whatever height tree, you choose to make, stop drilling at that number of inches minus 8!  You will leave the last 8 inches (as the bottom trunk of the tree) bare and therefore undrilled. Each drilled hole will receive the end of a wire for a can.

Bourbon Barrel Recipes on SHOW #19

Sweet Tea and Lemonade with Bourbon Vanilla Extract

spiked-arnold-palmer.jpg

2 c No Sugar Added Lemonade
2 c Sweet Tea made with Bourbon Smoked Sugar
2 1/2 Bourbon Vanilla Extract
Bourbon

Prepare the sweet tea (add in about 1/4 c or more Bourbon Smoked Sugar). Combine all other ingredients in a large pitcher. Rim mason jars with Bourbon Smoked Sugar. Serve over ice.

Bourbon Candied Bacon

8 pieces of thick cut bacon
1/4 cup Bourbon Smoked Sugar
2 Tbsp. Pure Cane Sorghum
1 oz Bourbon
Parchment Paper

In a small bowl, mix together the Bourbon Smoked Sugar, Pure Cane Sorghum, and Bourbon.

Heat oven to 375. Line a cookie sheet with parchment. Cover each strip of bacon with the Bourbon Sugar and Bourbon covering. Bake for 20-30 minutes, and place the bacon on another sheet of parchment (if you try to pat grease off the bacon with towels, the candy coating will stick to the paper towels).

Spicy Bourbon Smoked Paprika Almonds

2 1/2 TBS olive oil
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 1/2 lbs raw almonds
2 1/2 tsp Bourbon Smoked Paprika
2 TBS Bourbon Smoked Salt
2 TBS chili powder

Add the garlic and oil to a large skillet, and cook the mixture until the garlic is slightly brown. Add all of the spices. Add almonds and cook on medium to medium high for 4-5 minutes. Enjoy!
